27/4/19 – Reyes has found a home!

So sadly, Reyes has had very little in his life from being picked up as a pup in the streets of Spain and spending the last 8 years in kennels until Starfish Rescue helped to change his whole world and organised a foster home for him in Gloucestershire where he also has the company of another dog.
Reyes is a lovely, 8 year old Shepherd Cross boy who never put a foot wrong when being assessed in Spain and you can see in the following videos why he deserved help and a second chance to enjoy life and not die in the shelter: here, here

Reyes has recently joined his foster family and he it quite worrying living in a home for the first time, but very slowly he is starting to settle; he has mastered house-training already and understand the commands to go outside for toilet breaks. He is enjoying his walks though you can see in his eyes he is still unsettled and a bit worried, so he’s taking it very slowly.
Reyes has a lovely temperament and is so sweet natured but just needs time to adjust. He will need a special home with someone who has had experience with possibly puppy-farm bred dogs or similar, who have also had not much of a life. Another dog in the home would be good, probably a bitch as it’s what he has been used to. A rural home would be perfect as he is not going to suit a busy urban area, although he has shown no signs of being scared of the traffic.
