23/7/19 – Robin has been adopted!
Adorable Robin is about 10 years old and he is a delightful oldie who is full of character. He is with Love Underdogs in Waltham Abbey, Essex.
Despite his age, Robin enjoys playing with toys and is clearly recapturing his youth. He’s often seen in the paddock chucking his soft toys about, having a good time.
He enjoys a nice walk as much as a good run around and he walks well on his lead. He is a delightful and affectionate dog who has come a long way and will bring much happiness to his new home. He has a cheeky little side to him which is fabulous.
Robin enjoys canine company but it isn’t known how he is with cats. Love Underdogs don’t rehome older dogs to live with children, so older teenagers only.
Love Underdogs have been taking Robin to hydrotherapy to help him gain muscle mass on his back legs, and he has been amazing, taking everything in his stride.
Robin has a medical condition that affects the skin on his nose and paws and requires him to currently take medication. It is getting better though and the dose has been reduced. He is on supplements for his coat and on Yumove supplement for mobility. Love Underdogs will discuss medication and ongoing medical care before you visit, so you would be fully informed. They would consider some financial support towards medication, to be discussed with prospective adopters.
Robin has plenty of energy and he will love to go on nice walks and explore the world. He needs a relatively active home with people who want to give an older dog a wonderful home. He is a beautiful boy who will be so rewarding to have around, and he has plenty of love to give.
