5/9/19 – Wilf has been adopted!

Just look into those beautiful soulful eyes and fall in love. This is Wilf, an 8 year old German Shepherd boy who was found living on the streets of Romania. He and a group of other dogs were being cared for by a kind people, but sadly the dogs were rounded up and taken to a brutal public shelter. Thankfully, they were rescued from that terrible place and most have been adopted. Wilf has moved to the UK now and Safe Rescue have found him a foster home until he finds a forever home all his own.

Wilf’s fosterers report that he is a super friendly lad who is totally into cuddles. He has probably never lived in a home before or it’s been a long time since he has, so he is getting used to the idea. He is learning fast though and is eager to please his fosterers and just so happy to be free and cared for.

Wilf loves other dogs and children, but due to his size he might accidentally knock the little ones over! He does like jumping up for a fuss, but he is learning boundaries quickly, as well learning to walk on the lead. He is so enthusiastic to be out, free from confinement that he does tend to pull in his excitement, but with training and time, he should calm down so you can enjoy lovely slower-paced walks together.

Enthusiasts of the shepherd breeds will recognize the resilience and forgiveness in this boy who is still eager to give and receive love from humans despite all he’s been subjected to.
