18/7/20 – Darcy has been rehomed!
Darcy is a 10 year-old Staffie Cross (born 26.6.2010) and she is a patient, placid and friendly girl. Her owner’s health has gradually been failing and he has now gone into hospital and won’t be coming home. He has been paying for Darcy’s kennelling whilst trying to find her a rescue place and Rescue Remedies happily offered to care for her, saving her life. Darcy is in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.
Darcy is an absolute darling and is a very friendly girl who is always read for cuddles. She enjoys a stroll under the shady trees. She is curious and likes to check out other scents a lot. She walks just fine and doesn’t seem too bothered about the world. She is a nice girl with a placid temperament, patient while people pass and fine on the lead. She is happy to be out and about.
Her walkers have this to say about her:
“We met the lovely Darcy for the first time today and she had a very warm welcome for us. We had a little play in the paddock before heading out for a nice long walk and she was very well behaved on the lead. Super friendly girl with a lovely nature and impeccable manners who certainly likes her treats!”
“It was a warm day this morning and as we headed out for quite along walk, I thought Darcy would like to visit the stream. She did indeed enjoy a cool drink and a paddle so we had a second visit to a different part of the stream on the way back. Darcy walked nicely on the lead and although interested in all the dogs and people we passed, she was a good girl standing out of the way and giving them space to pass. She also seems to enjoy a roll about in the grass.”
Darcy is overweight due to lack of exercise and also is used to ‘at home’ company. She is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated.
