Emily (Love Underdogs, Essex)

30/6/20 – We’ve heard the wonderful news that Emily has found a home after being spotted as our Old Dog of the Week! Fantastic!

Emily is a spectacularly gorgeous 8 year old Crossbreed girl, originally from Romania. She’s in the care of Love Underdogs in Waltham Abbey, Essex. They think she’s part Raven Shepherd, part Blue Chow Chow. She’s certainly special!

Emily is an amusing, charismatic lady who knows her own mind. She needs experienced owners who she can look up to and bond with strongly. She has an intense way of looking at you, as if she understands everything you say.

She’s an affectionate girl and loves a cuddle. She’s like a big bear!

Emily is looking for an adult-only home as an only pet. She a bit too big to live with children and she deserves a peaceful retirement. She’s generally OK with other dogs but can be picky. Basically, other dogs have to realise quickly that she’s much wiser than they are and she always knows best.

When in Romania, she shared her kennel with two other dogs and they were a tight-knit trio. These days though, it’d be simplest if she just had her humans to think about and adore.

Emily is an active girl and needs active owners and plenty of space. She is strong on the lead but is used to wearing a head collar when out and about, which helps with this. Wherever she goes, she gets admiring glances because she really is stunning in a slightly mysterious way… except when she doesn’t realise her tongue’s sticking out!

She’s food orientated and extremely bright so training her is easy. Not that she needs teaching any manners as she’s a good, steady girl by nature but it’s a lovely way to bond with her.
