12/2/22 – Don has found a home!

Don is a soppy American Bulldog of 9 years who needs a new home because his current owner’s working hours have changed and being on his own for long makes Don sad! Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool are helping him find the perfect new home but he is still at his current owner’s home while he waits.

Don is a laid-back, plodding sort of person. He has a gentle and loving nature. He’s basically like Winnie the Pooh… in the form of a big, goofy dog!

Don is a stout and solid boy. Although he’s used to visiting children, he’d better have a home where any young people are sensible teenagers. Apart from wanting a quiet life, he wouldn’t want to accidentally knock any small people over.

Don wants to be the only dog at home but he might be able to live with a confident cat after gradual introductions. He gets on OK with female dogs he meets on walks but is choosy with other large males. He can be reactive if he feels challenged so he needs someone who remains calm and preferably has experience with bigger, chunkier dogs.

Don only wants short walks because his back legs aren’t up to much these days. He’s friendly with all humans and everyone can see what a softy he is.

Don does need a home where someone is around a lot of the time. He just wants comfort, company and love… plus maybe the occasional treat because he’s such a Good Boy!

If you have the right type of home for Don and you’d like to enquire about this sturdy, cuddly chap please contact Freshfields Animal Rescue as follows:
