This cute little lady is called Loxie. She is an 8 year old, neutered, mini Yorkshire Terrier who is hoping to find her forever home soon with the help of Animal Action Trust in Essex.

Loxie is a very sweet, calm, caring, little girl who gets on with both dogs and cats. She is being cared for in a foster home and she gets on with all the family who are all above 9 years old. She would probably not suit anyone younger.

Loxie has taken three weeks to really settle and feel at home as, at first, she was wary of being picked up and showed her teeth. It was better not to push it with her as it seems she may have had some rough handling. She doesn’t mind being taken out and the leash being attached. Now after 3 weeks with lots of love and gentle attention, there seems no reason to show her teeth. This being so, however, a calm home would be preferred for her.

Loxie enjoys her walks and she is interested in everything now she is settled. She loves being groomed at home, both brushed and bathed. The groomers were not able to go as far as clipping the fourth foot as she was stressing and she was scissor-clipped rather than with electric clippers.

Loxie is a dear little girl who greets everyone outdoors and expects to be liked. She’s not keen on long car rides and is better on a lap.
