Charlie is an adorably cute, 7 year old, black and tan Yorkshire Terrier dog who was brought to the Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in Tring, Hertfordshire, with another male Yorkie of a similar age.

Charlie is typically a bright, cheeky, affectionate little boy and certainly none could be more deserving of a wonderful forever home than he does. He enjoys his walks and a cuddle with the people he knows but, understandably, can be a little anxious when first meeting new people, so a home without children would suit best.

Charlie is looking for a very special new home with someone around most of the day and without regular visits from children. While he is very happy to meet and walk with other dogs at the Rescue Centre, he would prefer not to share a home with a new canine friend so he will receive all the love and care he needs.

Charlie has had a sad past and it is unclear exactly what his previous home circumstances had been, but both dogs were in a very poor condition and clearly had not been receiving the care they deserved. Due to injuries believed to have been sustained within the home, Charlie has required reconstructive surgery. The vets have made a fantastic job of giving him a neat, functioning urinary tract and opening, but his new owner would have to appreciate that his appearance is not all it should be.

Charlie is neutered and also needed dental treatment with multiple teeth being removed. However, in all other ways he is getting fitter and stronger every day and he has no known ongoing medical requirements. Charlie’s situation is fairly unique, but if you feel you may have the time and experience to help Charlie, further information is available on request.
