22/6/22 – We are very happy to share the news that little Jack has found a lovely new home!
—————

Jack is a fabulous 14-year-old Jack Russell Terrier whose owner has sadly died. Jack is temporarily in the care of a relative, in Felbridge, Surrey, and is being rehomed privately.

Little Jack is looking for a quiet home where someone is at home most of the time and where he will be your treasured only pet. He can be anxious of new situations so you will need to allow him to settle gradually. Although he loves to have company, once he has settled in you should be able to leave him for an hour or two occasionally.

Jack will be happy to have kind, sensible children visit his home. He has never lived with children and is too old now to be expected to learn to live with them, so an adult-only home is what he needs. He is OK around other dogs on walks but he might bark at them. He isn’t used to cats.

He’s an active chap for his age and enjoys regular walks. He still plays with toys when he’s in the mood and he likes to have treats. Jack is nervous when travelling in the car but he does sit still.

As well as going for little walks, Jack’s main love in life is sleeping. As you can see in the photos he will really appreciate a peaceful home where he can snooze on the sofa, with you close by. He simply needs a quiet life and to be spoilt.

Jack is neutered. He has arthritis, for which he has been prescribed Metacam, and he will need this for life. He has just had a dental and he is very healthy for his age.

Jack is being rehomed privately by Harley, who has confirmed that she will take him back if his new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully homechecked.

Could you offer this special old boy a lovely new home for him to relax in?
