5/3/2022 Sweet Lupa has just been adopted

Lupa is a medium sized German Shepherd cross of around 13 years. She’s in foster care in Norwich, Norfolk through Safe Rescue. Before that she’d spent years in a shelter in Romania.

Lupa is the sweetest old girl you could meet but she’s definitely feeling every one of her years. Her whole life spent outside in all weathers on concrete floors has not served her well and she is very stiff and arthritic.

She also tested positive for heartworm a few months ago. She’s had treatment for this but comes with the monthly pills needed as after care. Whilst still in Romania Lupa had full blood tests and all came back surprisingly good! She isn’t able to walk far and doesn’t really need more than a potter around the garden. Although, she can still move when she wants to!

Lupa can live with cats and dogs and likes children. Her vision isn’t great and she can be a bit grabby over food so no toddlers or rowdy children likely to fall on her poor old bones.

She’s very satisfied with her new found home comforts and just needs an end of life home filled with love for the time she has left.

Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from Safe Rescue must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
