30/8/22 – Misty has found herself a new home – fingers crossed for her!

—————-

Gorgeous Misty is a 7 year old German Shepherd x Husky who is being rehomed privately by her temporary carer. Misty is currently in Castle Donnington, Derbyshire.

Misty hasn’t had the most fulfilling of lives and sadly found herself unwanted and at risk of being put to sleep, so her current carer took her in temporarily to keep her safe and find her a new home.

Misty is a beautiful girl who is used to being around children of all ages. She does need a home as your only pet though as she doesn’t get along with dogs and she would chase cats etc.

This fabulous girl is fine to be left on her own for up to 4 hours. Sadly she isn’t used to being taken out for walks, so isn’t currently too active, but she is now going out for 20 to 30 minutes, and will no doubt enjoy gradually expanding on these new-found adventures.

She currently struggles to get in the car and she needs you to help her in, but once in she will just lie down. She isn’t used to travelling so gets a little stressed, but with some training, and regular trips to nice places so that she realises outings are fun, she will hopefully start to enjoy travel.

Misty’s favourite pastimes are playing with toys, playing chase, and sleeping. She won’t eat dog food, only meat, but her carer is trying to work on this. Misty is currently quite thin, weighing only 24kg, so needs building up and her weight monitoring.

This lovely girl should still have plenty of years ahead of her in which to experience the joys of life that she has missed out on. Could you offer her the loving home and fun adventures that she so thoroughly deserves?

Misty is being rehomed privately by Nicola, who has confirmed that she will take her back if her new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully homechecked.
