Austin is a very handsome 8-year-old who is being rehomed by Give a Dog a Home. He is currently in East Sussex.
Gorgeous Austin has been in his adoptive home since he was a pup and he is very affectionate with his owners. He is frightened of people and dogs he doesn’t know. Unfortunately he has started to react to the young child in his home, hence the need, sadly, for Austin to find a new home. Give a Dog a Home are looking for an experienced foster home (all expenses paid) or permanent adoption for the right applicant.
One of Austin’s great plus points is that he is used to living with cats. He could also possibly live with an older calm female dog. Austin needs a home with someone experienced, who understands how to care for fear-reactive dogs, someone who will be able to work with him, comfort him and keep him safe. He doesn’t like to be left on his own, so you will need to be with him most of the time.
To apply for Austin you will need to live in a rural area, have few visitors to your home, and definitely no children. You will need to have a large garden or paddock, or be prepared to take him to secure fields for a good run around, so that he does not have to face the outside world. Austin will repay you a hundredfold with his abundant love and affection. He will be a very loyal boy.
