22/2/2023 Cute Freddie has found his new home quickly after being seen on the Oldies Club website.

Cute little Freddie is believed to be a Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle Cross who is being fostered in an adult home with other dogs, cats and visiting teenagers in Gloucester provided by Starfish Dog Rescue.
Freddie is 11 years old and came into care due a clause in a property the owner did not realise did not allow dogs. Before that, he had been passed around family members but, unfortunately, due to a relationship breakdown they ran out of options. Understandably, Freddie was stressed once his owner left and he was so upset it was pitiful; it broke the staff’s hearts to see him so sad.
Freddie is now settled in a foster home and he has started to feel more secure and loved. He would cuddle up with the other dogs and his carer at night. With gentle walks in the day, good food, a routine and he stopped worrying a little bit more every day. He needs a lot of praise and cuddles in a quiet house. He is lovely with the other dogs and also lives with 3 cats and has been good with them too.
Freddie has been left with no problems but he would rather suit a retired family. He is completely clean in the house and will tell you when it’s food, drink or toilet time by waving his paws in the air together. He gets anxious when travelling in a car but, after a walk, will settle down on the way back. He has been walked out on group walks off the lead now and is absolutely loving life.
Freddie would like a home with another dog or dogs as he seems to enjoy their company. He needs an understanding, kind owner especially in the beginning when he may get anxious again. Someone who will let him sleep on the bed and is active enough to take him out on the walks in the countryside he loves. He may be an older boy but he is very active.
Freddie is neutered, his vaccinations have started and he has had a dental with 8 teeth removed. He is chipped and flea/worm treated. You can watch some lovely videos of him at the rescue and here.
