Gorgeous Ollie is a 12 year old, male Shitzu (born 28th December 2011) who was taken from a home where he had been left alone for 3 months as his two owners died and the daughter had been popping in to feed him daily apparently. He is now being cared for in Harlow, Essex, and looking for a home with a calm environment where someone is around all the time.

Ollie has a lovely character and just wants loving. He needs very little walking and just wants to sit on a lap all day. He seems to be unsettled when left alone and his carers take him everywhere. They feel he would be far better suited to live with a person who is at home and wants a lap dog. He just is at his happiest sitting on alongside you for always. He is very inactive and mainly sleeps all day with very short wee walks of 3 – 5 minutes.

Ollie would love to live with other dogs as he absolutely loves all other dogs, but it’s not known if he could live with cats. He would be better suited with an adult-only household due to his being nervous of fast and loud people. He needs to be with someone around all the time as he dislikes being left and will bark and become stressed.

Ollie is very comfortable in the car sitting on the front seat with a seat belt on. He just enjoys cuddles and a short little play here and there. He is nervous of lots of noise and chaos; he just like peace and quiet and cuddles.

Ollie was very underweight on arrival, but he is a good weight now. He has had dental treatment with several removed and general cleaning. He was neutered 3 weeks ago, is vaccinated and microchipped. He has one eye and has had this since 1 year old from his records. He takes Gabapentine as he has arthritis and this seems to work well.

Ollie being rehomed privately by Lara, who has confirmed that she will take him back if his new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully homechecked.
