Dear Dave is an older boy who came to RSPCA Millbrook in Surrey after his owner sadly passed away. He’d love to find his forever home again soon.

Dave is an approximately 10 year old Crossbreed and is grey and white in colour. He is a short boy, but he is long and stocky and weighs 27kg. Dave is a sweet boy and, once he knows you, he is very loving. He can be head shy at times, so he needs a calm and patient owner who is based at home.

Dave can be a little worried when he first meets people, so he could live with secondary school age children. It’s also possible he would share his home with a second, neutered dog and he could live with a bold cat. He will need direct access to his own secure garden and would be better in a ground floor property as he may struggle with stairs.

Dave loves to walk away from the centre and seems to be much more confident out and about. He likes nothing more than to have a good run around off-lead. As he is older, he can get a bit stiff after exercise, so he may need joint supplements. He walks well on the lead and loves to go for his daily walks.

Dave has lived with other dogs and does like other dogs, so could live with a neutered dog, depending on introductions. A puppy may be too much, but he still likes to have a play with dogs. He may need a refresher in housetraining and car travel. He is not used to being left on his own, so he will need someone based at home and will need a gradual build up to being left.
