Bryn is the most adorable Border Collie that has arrived into Oldies Care as his owner has sadly passed away. He is 12 years old and currently being fostered in Battle, East Sussex.

Summary: Bryn is a super friendly boy, very well behaved and loves attention. Although he is the only dog in his foster home, it is felt he could live with another dog, and would suit either a family with gentle children, or a couple or single adult. Although an older gent he still loves his walks and enjoys being outside. Not a big one for toys but Bryn enjoys a gentle game with his tennis ball, or just lying outside in the garden. He doesn’t like loud noises such as the phone or the vacuum, so a nice calm home would be ideal. He suffers from age related arthritis which is helped with medication.

Settled well in foster: Beautiful Bryn took about a month to settle into his foster home.

Can be left: Bryn is a super calm boy and is happy to be left for a few hours on his own. He could live with someone that works but would need a 30 minute walk at lunchtime and have had a good walk before being left.

Good with other dogs: When Bryn meets other dogs whilst out walking he is very polite and well behaved. He could possibly live with another dog of similar energy, although he has been an only dog in foster.

Fine with cats: Although not currently living with cats, Bryn again is such a good boy when he meets them outside and generally takes no notice, so may possibly be able to share his forever home with a feline buddy.

Could live with children: Bryn is very gentle with children and not boisterous. He could live with calm respectful youngsters and would make a wonderful family friend.

Loves his walks: There is nothing better than a good walk in Bryn’s opinion ! He enjoys a good sniff and likes to go at his own pace, which can be a bit slow at times, but he is well behaved and a pleasure to take out. He currently is enjoying 3 daily walks, consisting of 40 mins in the morning, 30 mins at lunchtime and15/20 mins at bedtime.

Excellent in the car: Bryn loves a trip out in the car and travels very well.

Favourite pastimes: Bryn loves being outdoors, whether it be on a nice sniffy stroll, walking or just sitting in the garden during the day. He isn’t interested in playing with toys, but does enjoy a gentle game with his tennis ball.

Doesn’t like loud noises: Loud noises tend to upset Bryn. He barks at the phone, the lawnmower or the vacuum and sometimes when you arc chatting with someone he will bark as if he wants to join in the conversation ! Neither is Bryn a fan of noisy bikes and will bark when you empty the black sacks for rubbish.

Bryn’s ideal home: Beautiful Bryn would suit a calm home either as part of a family with gentle children or with a couple or a single person which was how he was used to living in his previous home for a long time. He adores attention and loves being brushed and cuddled. Bryn is just the most friendly, adorable boy.

Sleeps on his mat: Bryn is a good sleeper at night and is currently happy sleeping on his mat in the kitchen or the lounge.

Health notes: Bryn suffers from arthritis which is currently being treated with Gabapentin and Metacam when necessary, prescribed by his vet. This will need to be continued in his new home. He has no other current health issues.

Foster carer’s description of Bryn : They describe Bryn as friendly, calm, cuddly and chilled saying “Bryn is such a friendly boy, he is happy to say hello to people and other dogs on walks, and likes investigating lots of smells (Lord Snifferton !) He is very calm natured.
