Matilda is a huge Romanian Shepherd looking for her forever home through Safe Rescue and currently being fostered in Norwich, Norfolk. She is around 7 years old.
She is looking for an adult home with experienced adopters. Described as a calm, beautiful and gentle girl, she was discovered in a Romanian shelter by Safe Rescue who could not leave her there, certain she would find the perfect forever home she deserved here in the UK.
She has passed her cat – goat and horse testing ! She does not demand much exercise, but just a garden to potter around in and people that will love her. As is common for her breed she is a protector and will bark when strangers approach her or her people. She will not hurt anyone but because of her size and her big bark, this can be intimidating to some people. Therefore Matilda would love a home where here are not many visitors or comings and goings and in a quiet location where passers by are few and far between, so as not to alert her..
Matilda is the most loving and sweet girl with her family. Despite her size her movement is slow and seldom, so it’s kind of like having a large rug that gets up and moves itself to another room sometimes. She is fine with cats and dogs and just wants to be part of a loving family
Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
