12/04/18 – Gorgeous polar bear, Bracken, has found his new home after being spotted on the Oldies Club website. Whoop-whoop!
——————–

Polar white and very handsome, Bracken is a large, male, 7 year old German Shepherd who is looking for a new home with the help of the Ark Animal Rescue in Lincolnshire. He had been in his recent home since he was a tiny puppy but his owner no longer has the time to look after him. Bracken has been a great family dog and would love to be part of another family again.

Bracken is nervous until he gets to know people but then he is a friendly boy. He has lived with children aged 15, 14 and 12 years, as well as a new-born baby, and was good with them. Bracken has also lived with cats and was fine unless they moved quickly and he would then chase them but hasn’t harmed them. He has not lived with another dog and it takes him time to get used to them, but he’s fine once he feels he knows them.

The Ark says Bracken has never shown any aggression and is good around food. He’s nervous at the vets but well-behaved. He’s house-trained and can safely be left for a few hours. He slept downstairs, never in the bedrooms, and travels well in the car. He’s good on the lead with a Halti but can pull without it. He’s really good off the lead and has good recall. He likes some toys.

Bracken has not been neutered yet but his vaccinations are up-to-date. He’s fit and well and eats a complete dry food.
