11/8/18 – Murph has found his new home!
————–

Murph is an 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier boy who is being rehomed by Wonky Pets Rescue and is in a foster home in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

Murph was handed in when his elderly owner couldn’t cope with him any more. He has been tidied up and was a bit fearful on the grooming table at first but settled down nicely with the rescue’s patient and experienced groomer.

Murph is a lovely little chap once he gets to know and trust you. He has had quite a sheltered life so is wary of new people and will try to snap if approached too quickly by people he doesn’t know or if someone tries to pick him up, but it’s just fear. Give him some time and build a bond and then he is so much better.

Murph is great with other small dogs and would benefit from having a little neutered canine friend in his new home for company and to play chase with. He is OK to be left for a few hours, though he will protest by barking when you first leave him, but he soon settles down. He is used to lots of company so wouldn’t suit a full-time working home.

Murphy has been good with cats and could probably share his home with a dog savvy cat. He hasn’t been around children so will need a home with just adults, or adults and teenagers.

He absolutely loves his walks, always keen to go out, so needs a home with someone who can provide him with a decent amount of exercise every day. He travels OK in the car and loves going out and about.

Murph is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and has had a dental with several extractions.
