26/8/18 – Lovely Rosco has been adopted by his foster mum. Yippee!
Dear, sweet, dinky boy Rosco is an 8 year old Terrier cross, currently in foster care in Grimsby through Safe Rescue. He spent two years waiting in a shelter in Romania but is now getting the hang of living in a happy home and is really coming out of his shell. He just needs an active owner or two to call his own!
Rosco is very affectionate once he gets to know you. He’s shy at first, especially with men. When he knows he’s safe with you, he’ll want copious amounts of fuss! He also wants active owners who will do fun things with him. This little man just loves to be busy and his confidence soars when he is active. He loves agility and also obedience. He is very bright!
Rosco is great with other dogs and would flourish in a multi-dog household. He can be left for a couple of hours as long as he has other dogs for company. He really doesn’t like being completely on his own so a home where someone is around most of the time would be lovely for him. He’s very good in the car and settles down sensibly in his crate.
Out on walks, Rosco has excellent recall and is generally good on the lead. He will pull if he sees another dog as he absolutely must say hello to each one. They all might be fun playmates, after all!
Rosco was nervous of cats at first but now shows an interest in playing chase with them! He could live with quiet, older children who are considerate of his sensitive nature.
His foster carer says, “He has come out of his shell totally with me and better with my husband than he was. With strangers, he’s nervous but friendly with women, growly and backs away from men in the house but is better outside. The funniest thing he does is he steals socks and underwear to bury in the garden! The cutest thing, is his greeting to me in the mornings. It’s a funny little dance with splayed out toes like a cat and he pounces on my feet, very excited!”
