16/01/19 – Tyson has been adopted! Hooray!

Gorgeous Tyson is a 9 year old Rottweiler x German Shepherd boy who is at Ark Animal Rescue on the Lincolnshire coast.

Tyson was originally at the Ark in 2012 after being rescued from an abusive home. He was soon rehomed, but sadly his new owner has developed ill-health and can’t give Tyson the care he needs.

Handsome Tyson is timid initially with new people, but once he knows he can trust you he is a lovely, friendly and affectionate boy. He has not lived with children before but he has met children of around 4 years of age and he was good with them. He has lived with a male and female Rottweiler before and is said to be good with other dogs. He’s not keen on the postman though and he hates cats. No-one’s perfect!

After a bad start to life, Tyson has been very happy and settled for the last 6 years and he just wants the same again now. Tyson has never shown any aggression despite possible mistreatment in an earlier home. In his former home he didn’t like sharing his food with other dogs, and he gets very frightened at the vets so care should be taken in these situations.

Tyson is house-trained and he can safely be left for a reasonable time. He has been used to sleeping in the living room. Tyson is good on the lead but has never been off it so his recall when out is unknown although it’s good in the garden. His favourite toy is a tennis ball which he loves, bless him.

Tyson is neutered and his vaccinations are up to date. He is fit and well for his age and just needs to find a fabulous new home.

Could you help Tyson find happiness once again?
