12/8/19 – Gyp & Joy have several lovely home offers to choose from!

These special non-oldies are Gyp and Joy, a delightful bonded pair who need a little extra push to help them find a home together. They are at Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in Tring, Hertfordshire.
Gyp is a handsome 5-year-old Collie x Terrier type boy. When you first meet Gyp he is quite shy, gentle and polite, but as soon as he gets to know you his affectionate nature starts to shine through.
Joy is a small, fat 5 year old Chihuahua x Dachshund (with a bit of Pug?) type girl, with a happy, exuberant personality. Her name certainly suits her as she is full of the joys of Spring and keen to be everyone’s friend and tell you all about it.
This pair are as different as chalk and cheese but they are totally devoted to one another. Until very recently they shared a home with an elderly couple living in the country, but sadly their gentleman owner passed away and his wife, who suffers health issues, was unable to provide care for them. Individually it would not be too difficult to rehome these lovely dogs, but finding the right home for them together is proving a real challenge.
Gyp and Joy are fit and well with no known health issues. They are innoculated, microchipped and neutered. They have lived happily with a large ginger cat and with chickens. They have not lived with children, but visiting older children would be welcomed provided they are not too boisterous.
They are looking for a quiet, rural home with moderate daily exercise, company for most of the day and lots of TLC. A large, secure garden to explore, and time for games would be appreciated. They have done a small amount of travel by car.
It is hard to believe this quirky pair can’t be found a home together. They are both so lovely, but so different. Could you offer them the perfect home together that they so deserve?
