30/8/19 – Minnie and Mo have proved to be extremely popular and have found a home!
Minnie is a tiny, black and tan Yorkshire Terrier girl, and Mo is a slightly larger black and tan Yorkshire Terrier girl. They are 12 years old and are at Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in Tring, Hertfordshire.
Minnie and Mo were taken to the Rescue Centre after they were handed in to a local vets and their original owner could not be contacted. While no previous history is available for these delightful little girls, they are clearly very, very close to one another and they need to find a new home together.
They are gaining confidence all the time and enjoy lots of cuddles and short walks. They would be happy to meet gentle children from time to time and could live with a cat or other small dog or dogs. Being so small, their new owner will need to ensure there are no gaps below fencing or gates as they might be able to squeeze through!
Minnie and Mo were not in great condition but they have really blossomed in the last few weeks with some extra attention and TLC. Both girls will be spayed before leaving the Centre and Mo will have a few little mammary tumours removed at the same time. She also has luxating patellas, but as a lightweight low-energy dog, these do not impact her at all. Her heart is good and, for an older girl, she is looking good now. Minnie has had surgery to remove an eye at some point in the past. No information is available about this but everything has healed well and the lack of vision on one side does not hamper her getting around. She has some age-related changes in her remaining eye and will also have a dental, probably with extractions, before she goes home.
If you are looking for a pair of very small, well-behaved dogs for company and gentle exercise, Minnie and Mo could be perfect.
