Cheery Jim is a medium-sized Crossbreed boy of about 7 years in the care of Safe Rescue. He’s currently in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk. He’s looking for an adult-only home but would love to live with other dogs or at least have dog friends he can play with every day.

Jim was in a public shelter in Romania for 2 years. His kennel mate used to scare off any visitors which meant that Jim didn’t get the kind of attention from people that he’d have liked. As you can see, he enjoys being brushed. Just as well with his shaggy coat…

…and his love of the great, messy outdoors!

Jim really enjoys his walks and is a plodding, snuffly boy who walks wonderfully on the lead. He likes to savour every aspect of a good walkies and is never in any hurry.

In the home he is a good boy who can be left for a while quite happily. He can be protective of his patch though. This means he needs calm, experienced owners who will just pop him in his crate if visitors come round who Jim objects to, until he settles down. You can’t be too careful with strangers, thinks Jim, and it’s just as well to warn them to behave themselves. He just wants to keep his family safe!

Jim’s favourite activity after walks is, well, no activity. Napping is something he’s developed to an art form which is why he needs a child-free home. He will sleep soundly whenever nothing’s going on that requires his help and he can build up an impressively resonant snore. Got to be thoroughly rested for the next walkies!

Jim is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He’s a loving, loyal dog and seeing him play with other dogs or splodge through a stream is a joy to behold.
