————————-

Paco is an 11-year-old Collie boy who is with Jan’s Dog Rescue in a foster home in Coventry. He needs a new home within a 10 mile radius of Coventry due to the current Covid situation.

Paco is in a foster home as he finds kennels very stressful. He forms bonds very quickly so Jan’s Dog Rescue are anxious to get him into a permanent home as soon as possible. Poor Paco will probably find it quite traumatic to leave his fosterer and get to know new people once again.

He’s a lovely boy who is good with dogs and in fact he must have a calm resident dog in his new home to give him confidence and help him settle in. Having a calm canine friend will also help ease his separation anxiety. He seems uninterested in cats or other livestock but he must have a home without children as he needs a quiet and peaceful environment. Paco gets stressed by lots of noise.

Paco needs someone who is at home most of the time but who is active. He is currently walking 2-3 times per day and he needs rural walks as he finds traffic stressful. He is good off lead, has good recall and he greets other dogs politely. Paco is of course, being a collie, very intelligent, and once settled in he takes instruction very well. It isn’t known if he is a good traveller as his foster carer walks him from the house. He is on a little pain relief medication for stiff joints.

Could you offer Paco a very quiet, child-free home with a calm resident dog?

Jan’s Dog Rescue are currently restricting their rehoming to within a 10 mile radius of Coventry.
