8/8/22 – Lovely Nonu has found a home!
Nonu is a 14 year old Maltese Terrier boy who is being rehomed by Wonky Pets Rescue. He is in a foster home in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.
Nonu’s owner sadly passed away, so Nonu returned to his original home, but he was upset by the toddler in the home and snapped when he was disturbed in his bed. So Nonu is now with Wonky Pets, waiting for the offer of a quiet home with someone around most of the time as he isn’t used to being left for long.
Nonu is a great character; he takes just a little time to bond with you but once he does he is a loving little chap who enjoys a fuss. He will let you know when he isn’t keen on something, like the vet trying to look in his mouth, or when he is scared.
He is quite independent and likes his own space, but at the same time does like someone to be around a lot of the time. He still enjoys a walk and he needs an owner active enough to provide good daily exercise. Nonu walks OK on the lead and travels fine in the car. Nonu will want to sleep upstairs with you at night. He is housetrained and he can be a little picky with his food.
Nonu is absolutely fine with other small dogs and could live with a small, neutered dog. He has been OK with very dog-savvy cats in his foster home, but he isn’t suited to a home with resident children. Visiting, respectful grandchildren who will leave him alone would be fine.
He is castrated, microchipped, flea and worm treatment and vaccinated. He has had a dental with just one extraction and the rest cleaned and polished. He will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance and has a clean bill of health from the vet.
Nonu is fostered in Swadlincote, Derbyshire but can be rehomed further afield to the right home, subject to homecheck and Wonky Pets donation of £195.
