Beautiful Kora is an 8 year old black Russian Terrier who is now looking for the right forever home where she can bond and be settled happily for the remainder of her years. Kora is in the care of F.A.B. – Frances Adores Bullbreeds in Northamptonshire and hopes to go home soon.

Kora is gentle, walks well and absolutely loves her walks, but she can also be clumsy and very demanding. She is very affectionate, loving and loyal and loves nothing more than being glued to her human. Everyone she meets falls in love her. She will need regular grooming and clipping every 6 to 8 weeks. Kora was originally on 3 meals a day, but she is now on 2 and eats Harringtons food and salmon oil which is good for her digestive system and her skin.

Kora is very friendly with everyone she meets but knowledge of the breed is essential as she can also be extremely stubborn. She is dog friendly, but she really demands her humans’ attention and needs more one-to-one. She won’t tolerate bouncy, in-your-face dogs and will growl to let them know; that is all it usually takes for them to give her a wide birth. She could share her home with a very calm, non-jealous dog, although she doesn’t show them much interest initially or choose to play with them very much at all until settled.

Kora needs a large, secure garden and a spacious home with an owner strong enough to manage a 40kg to 50kg dog. Kora is clean in the home and non-destructive, and her temperament and training is a credit to her previous owner. She loves company but she can be left for a few hours once settled. She is a guarding breed so can be vocal when the door goes or when she hears a noise. It’s not excessive at all but she can be loud.

Kora cannot live with small children due to her size but older children are not an issue. She does initially suffer with separation anxiety, but this settles quite quickly though she won’t be suitable for busy working families or full-time workers.

Kora is neutered. She had a cyst on her back which has been flushed and drained. The large tumour on her hind was a hair follicle tumour and nothing of concern but the area will need to be monitored very closely.

Note: F.A.B. rehome all over the country, providing a home-check can be carried out and potential adopters can travel to meet/pick up the dog in question.
