Monty is a fuss-loving, cuddly Crossbreed of about 10 years, who’s in a foster home in South Wales through SOKS Dog Rescue. He’s looking for a peaceful, adult-only home where he can mostly just snooze.
Monty wants a cat-free home. He currently lives with other dogs but he’d rather be the only pet, unless you have a very calm dog who wouldn’t pester him at all. He does sometimes feel playful.
He certainly has a cheeky and silly side but, even when roused, he prefers to recline.
Monty likes to have one short, gentle walk a day to sniff the air, well, sniff everything. His legs are a bit stiff and he’s on medication for that.
He needs a good garden for pottering in. It must be secure because he’s surprisingly agile for a mature boy and he might decide to follow his nose to who knows where?
Monty doesn’t like travelling in the car. He’s a home-loving dog and he loves having company. He’d like it if someone was at home with him most of the time. He’s a lovely companion who’s content to just be near you but is always ready for a fuss!
Monty is a proper oldie in that he knows what’s important in life and what things he does or doesn’t approve of. He does need an owner who is confident and not a complete pushover as he is clever at getting what he wants. Having said that, the things he wants are pretty easy to give him most of the time. As long as he has comfort, company, food and snuffling opportunities then Monty is a happy, soppy old sausage!
