The thing Schmirny loves most is to Play, Play, Play!! He’s a very fine-looking mixture with an energetic, enthusiastic terrier-like character. Schmirny is quite insecure though and needs to be given space to settle into a new home in his own time, and needs patient, understanding owners. He could live in a working household provided he has a walk at lunchtime.

Gorgeous little Gracie is a lovely-natured Yorkie girl. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is fine with well-trained children. Gracie enjoys walks and is up for having holidays and little adventures with you. Can you offer Gracie a fun home?

Morgan is an energetic, playful Labrador who ranks his ball higher than his food – very unusual for a Lab! He is a loving, loyal lad who quickly forms a strong bond with his owner. He can be protective so needs a calm, confident owner who is happy to train him calmly with kind, reward-based methods. He is a clever boy who learns quickly so promises to be a rewarding student.

Another one for the short-legged-oldie aficionados amongst us. Fun-loving Shorty loves playing with his toys. He’s good with dogs, fine with cats after careful introduction, and is used to living with children. Isn’t he a poppet?

Due to her owner’s ill health, Tara hadn’t been walked for 5 years, but oh how she’s enjoying walks now! Tara is active, intelligent, obedient and loving. She could live with a dog-savvy cat and is fine with dogs she meets. She also likes children. What a gorgeous girl!

Bonnie the Border Terrier loves to snooze the day away, with breaks out in the garden. She enjoys peace and quiet and would make a lovely companion for someone who enjoys taking a couple of 20-minute strolls per day. Bonnie’s wary of big dogs, but fine with calm small dogs. She used to live with a cat. Isn’t Bonnie bonny?

Old-black-mongrel fans, look away now unless you have room for one more! Jacko knows how to use his big brown eyes to melt hearts, and he’s loyal, loving and smart. Jacko and his adorable ears could live with confident cats, a calm old dog, and older children. Do you have a warm fire that needs a Jacko in front of it?

Kelly, a very sweet lurcher, is looking for a quiet, calm home where she can snooze the day away. She only needs short walks and doesn’t pull on the lead. She’s fine with visiting children. Kelly is good with dogs outside the home, but would prefer to be an only dog in the home. She can’t live with cats. Kelly’s an excellent traveller and enjoys an outing. Lucky is a faithful little companion who just wants to please. He loves children and likes them to throw his toys. He would let you stroke him all day, and would love it if you’d let him sneak on your bed at night. And he’s a good traveller too. Could gorgeous little Lucky be your new best friend? Handsome Zak is a soft, playful boy but can be a little sensitive, so needs a gentle, confident owner. Zak walks well on the lead. He can live with children over ten but would prefer to be an only dog. 17/5/13 Zak still needs a home

Rocco is a loyal and faithful boy who is doing so well at his foster home but is still waiting for someone to offer him a permanent home. Rocco loves to play, but he has a back condition so needs to take things a little more gently nowadays. Rocco can live with part- and possibly full-time workers. Frieda is a beautiful Lurcher girl who came into Oldies Club care after being found as a stray. She will make a loving and affectionate companion for her new owner.
