Alfie & Rocky are the best of friends and need a home together. Before you rush to contact the Ark, ask yourself if you could happily and kindly deal with toileting accidents as little Rocky has a health issue leading to poor bladder control, and Alfie also has accidents. They are wonderful, friendly dogs.
Category: Adopt An Oldie
Please also consider our Overlooked Oldies- the dogs who have been patiently waiting for new homes longest of all. They desperately need homes of their own! You can submit an oldie for listing by our site editors here .
We also have some non-oldie dogs who need very special homes due to mental or physical problems, listed in Other Special Dogs Needing Homes. Please consider them!
Alfie (Jerry Green Dog Rescue, South Lincolnshire)
Sweet old Alfie has led a sheltered life and needs a quiet home with a nice garden. He wants you to be around most of the time, especially while he settles, as he is scared of new places, bless him. Could you offer Alfie a home as your only pet?
Wendy (Stray2Me, fostered Surrey)
Wendy is a very friendly and loving girl who adores human attention. She loves playing with other dogs but would prefer to be the only pet for all the love. She is intelligent, inquisitive and would enjoy an active home with older children to play with.
Joey (Animal Adoption International, fostered London)
Joey is a cute Jack Russell Parsons Terrier Cross who is looking for an experienced, adult only and pet-free home. He would like his people to be around a lot and is an active boy who enjoys exercise. Can you help Joey?
Marlon – midfield maestro! (Oldies Club, fostered Ceredigion)
Who’d guess that footballing Marlon is completely blind? He needs a quiet home with a calm canine friend but no cats or young children. Marlon loves slow walks, lots of sniffing, and snuggles on the sofa. You’ll need a Marlon-sized space on your bed: Marlon says that’s non-negiotable!
Jay (RSPCA Macclesfield, SE Cheshire & Buxton)
Little Jay has been loved and cared for, but is hairless due to health issues and allergies. He needs a caring, committed owner who is around all day. He needs to be your only pet. Jay needs a home with hard flooring as carpets are a problem for his allergies.
Jackson (Freshfields Animal Rescue, Liverpool)
This dear little boy is a bit of a worrywart. He wants an experienced owner who is at home most of the time and likes to have help or moral support with everything they do, plus plenty of snuggle time. His retirement home must be very peaceful so he feels safe as well as loved.
Mike (Dogs Trust Newbury, Berkshire)
Want a best friend who thinks you’re fascinating, loves your company and will do anything you ask if you have a treat in your hand? Then look no further than Mike! He wants to be the only pet in an adult only home… with tennis balls, toys and treats!
Lucky Diddy Dotty! (Oldies Club, fostered Edinburgh)
24/11/2020 *RESERVED*
Dotty was found on a motorway and luckily rescued. She needs a quiet home with company most of the time and walks to suit the mood she’s in on a particular day. A walk in the evening will tire her and help her settle better at night.
