You may have noticed that our urgent appeal for a foster home for Taro has disappeared from the website. Unfortunately the reason isn’t good news.
While we were working hard to find a new foster home for when his foster carers were away, the vets were working on finding the reason why poor Taro was regularly being sick.
Very sadly, they discovered that Taro’s stomach was riddled with cancer. We had no choice but to let him go, to prevent further suffering. Thankfully his foster carer was able to get to the vet’s in time to say goodbye to precious Taro.
Our thoughts are with Taro’s foster carers who are understandably devastated, especially as it hasn’t been long since the loss of their previous foster dog, Gypsy.
