21/11/14 – We have had sad news from Dogs Trust today. Frankie sadly passed away yesterday. She had been unwell within recent weeks and it was found that she had a large mass in abdomen and there was nothing else that could have been done.

Don’t let the name fool you – Frankie is definitely a girl! She is a sweet 9 year old Shar pei who is the most loving and loyal of dogs. Frankie is seeking a new family to love her with the help of Dogs Trust West Calder.

Frankie loves being pampered and fussed over and will snuggle up with you for a cuddle. She likes to play with her toys and to go out for trips in the car. She is fully housetrained and can be left on her own for short periods.

Although she loves people, Frankie can be grumpy with other dogs and prefers to have them kept at a distance. She much prefers her own company so would like to be the only pet in the home and to have an owner who can walk her in quiet areas. Frankie can be worried by loud noises and quick movements – she does like the quiet life so a home without young children would suit her best.

Frankie would benefit from a home that are used to her breed. She will make a loving and loyal companion.
