Loving Lulu (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)

Lulu orignally came into Oldies Club care in 2010 with her pal Douglas and they were rehomed in 2011. Sadly 3 years later their adopters circumstances changed and the pair returned into our care.  They became rather unsettled and clingy with their fosterer that another rehoming failed very quickly as they were distressed. Oldies Club decided that Douglas and Lulu have had enough upheaval in their little lives and so they have been placed in our sponsor dog scheme.

Since then the devoted pair have lived comfortably together in their fosterers home with the resident dogs for company.  Lulu has had a pretty healthy life with no real medical issues until November 2017 when her fosterer discovered a lump on her neck. Sadly this was diagnosed as lymphoma and palliative care was chosen over aggressive chemo as Lulu was then 14.

Sadly Lulu lost her fight on Christmas day 2017 a few days after Gizmo a rehomed Oldie who was also resident in the household passed away. Lulu & Gizmo were very close and the lose of him had a big impact on our loving little girl. Poor Douglas is lost without Lulu but his fosterer is giving him lots of affection and help him while he grieves.
