31/03/17 – Max has been adopted! Hooray!

Max is a stunning ginger tom (neutered) who is a mere 10 years old. He’s in the care of Helping Pets North East. He’d be happy to live with other cats as well as sensible children. Dogs are an unknown. He wants a nice garden which he can easily access. Also essential are plenty of affection and a comfy sofa!
HPNE say, “He is a lovely gentleman with gentle being the operative word. He is like a big brother to his house mate and looks after her. He has lived with another cat all his life but still likes his time alone.

A lap snuggle is his favourite pass time along with playing with light toys and catnip toys. Max would like a home where he can go outside eventually as he had this in his previous home and enjoyed it, especially lying in the sun.

Max is good with his litter tray but likes his own if he is sharing his home with another cat. Max is not a dominant cat and so will be relatively easy to introduce to a multicat household. Max would also be happy as an only cat as long as he gets lots of positive interaction. He has previously lived with young children and a baby so will also make a good family pet.

When he is confident he is a very loving boy who will gaze at you adoringly as you fuss him. It may take a few days to gain his trust, but doing so is very rewarding.
Wet food can upset his tummy so you must be prepared to feed him mainly dry food. Max is neutered, microchipped, flea and worm treated.”
