Little trooper Tyson (Oldies Club, fostered Wiltshire)

Tyson, a wonderful 12 year old Border Collie boy, came into the Oldies Club rescue because his owner was too poorly to care for him.

It quickly became clear that poor Tyson had digestive issues. Veterinary consultations and tests revealed that he was suffering from IBD, an auto-immune condition. Tyson began a treatment programme to try to control the IBD and get him to gain some weight, but then, very sadly, he also developed pancreatitis and was in such a terrible state, and with the two conditions requiring conflicting treatments, there was no choice but to end Tyson’s suffering and let him go to sleep.

We are so sad for Tyson’s foster carers who had done so much for him and been so dedicated to trying to get him fit and well. A huge thank you to them.

Sleep tight now, beautiful Tyson. :(
