Poor little Eddie (Oldies Club, fostered Norfolk)

Eddie, a lovely 14 year old Jack Russell Terrier Cross boy, came into the Oldies Club dog rescue due to his owner’s ill health, and went to a foster home in Norfolk.

Eddie initially settled well in foster, got on well with the resident dog, and his foster carer was enjoying having him around. Unfortunately though, Eddie had a couple of health issues that were troubling him and he gradually began to have episodes where he couldn’t settle at all and became extremely distressed. The vets tried various treatments and medications to try to help Eddie feel calmer and happier, but nothing seemed to be working and it was suspected that Eddie had a serious neurological problem.

We are very sad to say that Eddie’s condition deteriorated to the point where he had no quality of life and the terrible decision had to be reached to put Eddie to rest. We are so very sorry for his foster carer who had been absolutely wonderful with Eddie and was so upset to lose him.

Sleep tight little chap and know that you were very much loved.
