Beautiful Bruno arrived at his Oldies Club foster home in 2022, but he never left, as his foster family simply couldn’t let him go – and who can blame them! We’ve had this wonderful update on Bruno and it’s so obvious that he is very much loved and is thoroughly enjoying life in his adoptive home.

Here’s the update:

Bruno has been with us for just over 2 years and we can’t imagine life without him. He is 11 years old but thinks he is much younger!

Bruno is our 4th oldie and he settled very quickly – we already had a Tibetan Terrier and she is good at keeping him in line. She is now 16 and they are a very cute couple.

Over the last 2 years Bruno has been a busy boy – we discovered that he loves the beach and playing fetch in the sea. When it’s time to go home (we’re talking after about 2 hours!) he sulks and stares at us with those big puppy eyes! He has also discovered a love for Parkrun (at a gentle pace!). He enjoys watching our sons play rugby, the highlight being when they run over to see him at the end. He has also visited care homes and loves the attention and everyone telling him how handsome he is.

His only dislike seems to be the vet – but I think that’s because he gets weighed and we get a talking to about the importance of maintaining his new low weight. I think he dreams of the day that they say he can eat whatever he wants.. he is a Labrador after all and will always be hungry! Tasty biscuit treats have been replaced by raw carrots and that’s the way it will remain for Mr Bruno.

Bruno does love a little holiday – we had a lovely city break in Glasgow with some gorgeous walks through the Botanical gardens – it was here he discovered puppacinos. This summer he’s off on his travels to Scarborough and then Shetland – he will enjoy having new beaches to explore.

He keeps us busy and he keeps us walking.. in all weathers. His excitement for every new day is contagious and at the end of the day he’ll cuddle in and snore loudly, no problem with that – we just turn the TV volume up!

Thank you so much for sending news of Bruno, and also these gorgeous photos. He is a truly beautiful boy and we are so happy that you adopted him!
