  • Lucky Larry – 15 year old poundie saved!

Oldies Club was contacted recently about a Collie cross who was in a pound and out of time (legally, even a healthy stray dog can be put down if he/she remains unclaimed by their owner after seven days). • Kitsch Collars sponsors the Oldies Club in September

The lovely people at Kitsch Collars are donating 10% of their profits for this month (September) to the Oldies Club. Kitsch Collars make fancy collars for all sizes of dog, from toy breeds to Great Danes, and also have a great range of wider collars specifically for sighthounds. They have modern printed designs, classic tapestry designs and also offer decorated matching leads. So if your oldie dog could do with a bit of glamour in his life, why not treat him to a lovely new collar this month, and help the Oldies Club?

  • A thank you to KPMG…

The Oldies Club has just received a donation of £1000 from the KPMG small charities fund, towards our Vet Fund Appeal. The donation was applied for by Oldies Club supporter Mark Poles, who works for the accountancy firm’s Plymouth office. We estimate that this will probably cover all the vet bills for about 6 oldies. Because older dogs often need extra care and dental work, our vet fees are particularly high compared with most dog rescues. Many thanks to Mark and KPMG for arranging this generous donation.
