Olaf is still The Perfect Dog!

Gorgeous Olaf came into the Oldies Club rescue when his owner was no longer able to care for him. Olaf went to one of our foster homes and quickly settled in there. His foster carer described him as the perfect dog!

After a short time in foster care, Olaf was put up for adoption, and we have recently heard from his lovely new family:

We were delighted to have the opportunity to welcome Olaf, the “perfect dog” into our family, and he has certainly lived up to his moniker!

Olaf is an absolute gem, a delight to have around, he is loving and affectionate, calm and well behaved, happy to meet many friends of the two and four legged variety, and so sweet he won’t even chase a squirrel!

He is at his happiest when being outside, bounding through the fields around our house he looks so happy and it is such a joy to see his unbridled enthusiasm. He absolutely loves playing with balls, whether running after them outside or gently on the kitchen floor where he likes you to roll it to him and then he’ll push it back. Oldies Club will be pleased to hear he no longer plays with sticks!

He is a clever chap, and we suspect he has been taught more words and commands than we know he knows! But it’s easy to see he is smart and we’re all enjoying figuring it out together.

In the four months he has now been with us he has still been very quiet, only barking 2-3 times! It seems this can be a trait of the border collie breed. But he does squeak with excitement for walks or to meet some other dogs. He’s a good sleeper and an active dreamer, sometimes making more noise then!

He loves to be brushed and fussed and while he mostly still sleeps downstairs, he will come up and smile ‘good morning’ and adores cuddling up in bed. We love having Olaf as part of our family! Thank you Oldies Club!

Thank you so much for giving our perfect Olaf the perfect forever home. We are so happy for you all!
