Old cutie Orton is a Staffy Cross gentleman of about 11 years, in the care of RSPCA West Hatch, in Taunton, Somerset. He wants a quiet home with no children but possibly sensible teenagers who will let him snooze in peace.
Orton loves his walks! He can be a bit reactive with unknown dogs at a distance but he does make friends with some, if they meet him nicely. It’s thought he might be able to live with a compatible dog, after calm introductions. He’d equally be happy as an only dog, getting all available lap time!
It’s not known if he’s OK with cats so he’d better have a cat free retirement home.
Orton has had some respite foster care where he proved himself to be well-behaved, clean in the home and, generally, a true gent. He got the hang of travelling in the car too. What a Good Boy!
Once he’s settled in his new home, he can be left for reasonable periods and will just sleep until you return.
Needless to say, he’s a soppy old sausage and everyone at RSPCA West Hatch loves him!
Orton has spent a few months at the centre. He was in a sorry state when he arrived and it’s taken a lot of TLC to get his condition back up. His fur is still a bit bare in places, like a well-loved teddy bear!
