06/01/2026 – Jax is staying with Oakwood Dog Rescue in long-term foster. We wish him lots of happy times ahead.

Cheerful Jax is a 9-year-old Crossbreed boy in the care of Oakwood Dog Rescue, in Hull, East Yorkshire.

Jax gets on well with other dogs when out and about but he wants to be the only pet at home as he likes his own space when it’s time to chill.

Jax loves coming up to say hello to people, in case of fuss or treats!

He prefers to approach on his people on his own terms so he can be sure they’re trustworthy. He needs a home with no resident or visiting children. He has been known to resource guard so grown-up owners with some experience would be best for him.

Jax is very adaptable and will happily fit into your routine. He loves his walks but is also fond of a lazy day!

He’s super easy to please, a treat or a little play with a toy and you’ll have made his day, especially if it’s his favourite octopus teddy!

Dogs4Rescue rehome within Greater Manchester and the North West. All their dogs have a one month home trial to make sure everyone’s happy.
