Sweet and gentle Cyril is a medium-sized Crossbreed who is estimated to be around 8 or 9 years old. He was rescued during a trip to the shelter in Crivatu, Romania, last year and is now in a foster home in Fakenham, Norfolk, provided by Safe Rescue. He is now looking for a loving home with special people who will spoil him rotten as he truly deserves.
Despite Cyril having a hard life, he’s a gentle and dear boy. He was almost certainly owned by someone and was thrown out because he’s become old and that is what is commonly done in Romania.
Cyril was infested with ticks and a vet trip the next day diagnosed him with early stages of Babesiosis. This would have killed him out there in the wild if gone untreated. He’s not got a lot of his teeth left and maybe not a lot of years of life left, but he’s safe now and has the Rescue on his side who will do all they can for him.
Cyril mixes well with other dogs and likes people and cuddles very much. He could live in his forever home with or without another dog and is fine with children though he’s looking for a quiet, retirement home so older children would suit him. He has not been cat-tested but could be if required.
Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
