Sky is an 8yr year old Akita in the care of Friends of Akitas in Nottingham and whilst she is coming up to 9 yrs of age, she is such a sprightly girl that has no wish to slow down any time soon ! She is an active and energetic girl who would thrive with similar minded humans who are able to spend time with her and give her the love she deserves.
Sky is a bundle of joy, very bright and loves to learn new things. She loves her walks so much and gets a little excited at the thought of a trip out, and can pull a little on her lead, but with a little training and patience this will settle down.
Sky prefers gentle handling and can be a little insecure at times when it comes to being touched and appreciates a gentle and calm approach so she can learn to trust you and feel reassured. Once she feels comfortable she is a sweet and wonderful girl that wants nothing more than to be by your side.
Sky would like to be the only dog in the home and to live alongside adults that can respect her boundaries and sensitive nature. She will make the most wonderful and loyal friend that will enjoy both energetic walks and quite moments with her new family.
