    OscarFoal2 5/9/07 – Sadly poor Oscar has had to be put to sleep, after his health deteriorated. Sleep tight Oscar!

    KentFoal 8/12/2006 Kent was found to have a mass of tumours in his abdomen and the kindest thing was to have him put to sleep. Rest in peace, Kent.

  • Spot (Dogs Trust Merseyside)

    27/2/2006 We are very sad to hear that Spot had to be put to sleep last week. He had become very ill and it was kinder to end his suffering. Sleep tight Spot.

  • Hamish (Oldies Club, Rotherham)

    Retriever cross Hamish was found abandoned and came into the care of the Oldies Club from a Huddersfield pound. Sadly, Hamish passed away 15th November 2005 – many thanks to his foster carers for giving him a warm and loving home in his final weeks.

  • Peru (Bath Cats & Dogs Home)

    Peru - BCDH October 2005 – Peru has been suffering from a serious condition affecting his spine and very sadly had to be put to sleep. Our thoughts are with his carers at Bath Cats & Dogs Home.

  • Poppy (Suffolk Animal Rescue)

    Poppy found a home with a lovely lady but, very sadly, after a couple of months in her new home Poppy’s health deteriorated rapidly and she died whilst being treated at the vets. Sleep tight beautiful Poppy.

  • Monty (Newport RSPCA, South Wales)

    4/3/2006 Very sadly, Monty had to have an operation and he subsequently died. Sleep tight, Monty.

  • Jodie

    12 year old almost-Lab Jodie found herself in rescue when her elderly owner became too ill to care for her. Just as she had found a new home of her own, she was diagnosed with cancer of the liver and pancreas.

  • Barley (Labrador Retriever Rescue Southern England)

    29/12/05 Sadly, Barley has recently passed away. However, he spent his final months having happy times with his wonderful new owners who doted on him.

  • Sweetie (formerly Hetty) – Derby

    Ginger - staffie - Derby Handed into a Derby vet, Sweetie, formerly known as Hetty, had only a few short months with her new family. We are sad to report that she passed away in October 2005.

  • Alfie

    Collie cross Alfie was taken in by Limerick Animal Welfare after one of their volunteers found him staggering, dehydrated, in a busy road on one of the hottest nights of the year. This is his story.

  • Lukka

    14 year old Old English Sheepdog Lukka spent four long years with Celtic Animal Lifeline, waiting for a new home. At last, he has found the perfect home with new dad Mark – this is his story.

  • Jaffa (Croftview Rehoming Kennels, Kent)

    4/2/2006 Very sadly, Jaffa passed away suddenly and unexpectedly this week. The poor boy never had a chance to experience life outside kennels.

    11th May 2005 – Sadly, Croftview have informed us that Lou has passed away. She never found a permanent new home. Our condolences go to everyone at Croftview who had so hoped this special girl would have another chance at happiness.

    24.06.05 – Ward did not make it out of the pound, although help had been offered for him. Run free.

  • Oscar (Bath Cats & Dogs Home)

    OscarBathNew 6/2/2007 Oscar has passed away; it is thought that he had suffered a brain haemorrhage. Oscar had been a resident at Bath Cats and Dogs Home for nearly ten years.

  • Murphy (a.k.a. Lima)

    A graduate of The Alice Project, mature JRT Murphy (Lima) found a lovely new home. Update 6/1/2006 – Murphy has passed away. Our thoughts are with his family.

    Donna - White Lodge Longdogs 7/6/2006 – After a very happy last 18 months at White Lodge, Donna has sadly had to be put to sleep after being diagnosed with a tumour and renal failure.
