Sponsor a Special Oldie

Tiny Charlie arrived in Oldies Club care in a dreadful state, but thanks to the fabulous work of his foster carer and lots of veterinary treatment he is feeling much better. Sadly he has had several fits and isn’t strong enough to withstand a change of home, so he’s going to remain in Oldies Club care as a Sponsor dog and be supported for the rest of his days.

Sweet little Vicky came into Oldies Club care after being picked up as a stray and rescued from very heavy traffic. She found a new home in May 2010, but sadly didn’t settle and came back to her foster home. Vicky has poor eyesight and is estimated to be at least 16 years old, so we feel she should stay where she is happiest – with her fosterer. She will remain as an Oldies Club sponsor dog for the rest of her days.

Tag has had a tumour removed and there is a fair chance that it might return so she’ll spend the rest of her time, however long or short that may be, with her loving foster family who will make every day special for her.

Cocoa’s fosterer thinks he has the charm and good looks of George Clooney – and we can see what she means. Cocoa has a progressive neurological condition which means his back legs are quite weak and wobbly. He’s also beginning to suffer from doggy dementia so all in all we felt it best for him to stay with his loving fosterer for the rest of his days. 11 year old Molly is a very friendly girl, but sadly she can’t be rehomed due to her medical condition. She has malignant tumours in her tummy and isn’t strong enough to stand surgery. She’s going to stay with her foster family for the rest of her days, so please help us to care for her by taking part in our sponsor scheme.

Tammy is a very gentle and easy going crossbreed girl who loves company and enjoys a quiet potter in the garden. Sadly she has oral cancer so her Oldies Club foster family will keep her as comfortable as possible for whatever time she has left. Perhaps you’d like to sponsor her?

Trish a frail and nervous 13 year old Chihuahua with a heart condition and hip problems. She isn’t up to being moved again, so she’s staying in her current foster home where she has the company of her small canine friends. Perhaps you’d like to sponsor her…?

Charlie has been diagnosed with CDRM (Canine degenerative myelopathy) – an untreatable degenerative condition. At the moment Charlie is still active and enjoying life, but over time he will suffer from loss of coordination in his back legs. Charlie will stay in the care of the Oldies Club for the rest of his life.

Gorgeous little Billy has a dry-eye condition which means he will need expensive daily eye drops and regular tests and check-ups for the rest of his life. We have therefore decide that Billy will stay in his foster home permanently as an Oldies Club sponsor dog.

FeeBee, a gorgeous 14-year-old Collie Retriever X, has sadly fallen very ill with a suspected autoimmune disease. She will be cared for in an Oldies Club foster home for her remaining time. Watch a video featuring this lovely old girl here.
