11/4/11 – We just heard the sad news that Cleo has passed away. Here is what her carer at Dogs Trust had to say about her:

Sadly poor Cleo was put to sleep away on Monday the 4th April. It was a shock to us all, as she only became ill on Sunday. Thankfully she had a very short illness, but investigative surgery showed she had liver and spleen tumours. Allowing her to pass with dignity and comfort was the only option.

Although she spent a long time with us looking for a forever home, she was very comfortable and thoroughly loved here – this was her home. Dogs Trust was the only place she had ever found where she was able to be herself – a free spirit! She is terribly missed not only by the staff but also be her young kennel mate, Zippy.

This beautiful girl is Cleo, an 8 year old Schnauzer/Rottweiller cross.  She’s in the care of Dogs Trust, West Calder and they are looking for a suitable new home for her.

Cleo is someone’s attempt to breed a Russian Terrier! She is really gorgeous but needs a special kind of home. She is a feisty lady who does like her own way and prefers only to be touched when and how she likes so she would suit an adult only home with few visitors.

If you have a home large grounds and enjoy a dog running free then please consider Cleo.   She gets on with some dogs and does share a kennel at the centre.

If you’d like to discuss Cleo’s needs further, please contact Dogs Trust as follows:

Telephone: 01506 873459

Dogs Trust’s rehoming policy is that you would need to go to the centre (opening hours 12 noon til 4pm every day except Tuesdays) and fill out a rehoming questionaire. Then, everyone in the household would need to meet the dog, and a home visit or vet reference would need to be done.

Please mention that you saw Cleo on the Oldies Club website.
