18/10/2011 Sad news – poor Ben was found to have bone cancer and the rescue decided it was kinder to let him go. Ben never found his forever home, but had some happy months and enjoyed his regular walks with volunteer dog walkers. Run free Ben :(

——————–

This lovely Rottie boy is Ben, a gentleman of 8 years who arrived at Linton Boarding Kennels after his owners were no longer able to care for him due to ill health.

Ben is a loving chap who adores people but is not so keen on other dogs and he most certainly does not like cats! He can be a little bloody minded, but will do anything for a treat!

Ben would be suited to live with an older couple who have a large garden. He is quite happy to lay outside all day with the occasional good game of ball. He also enjoys lying in front of the fire and dreaming his days away.

The rescue thinks Ben may get along with older sensible children. He will, however, need a Rottie savvy home where his new owners can work with him on his food aggression and attitude. Most of these problems can be worked round with food, since he does love his treats.

Ben is a very loving dog and will make a great pet in the right home. He has been in kennels for over a year now and desperately deserves a forever home as he is such a nice boy.
