18/1/19 – We are very pleased to have heard that Lucky has found a wonderful new home!

Adorable Lucky is a 10 year old Collie Cross girl who has been at Dogs Trust West Calder, West Lothian, for far too long. Come on folks, let’s help Lucky finally find her forever home. At age 10, and being a collie type, she should have at least another 5 years ahead of her, possibly much more. We don’t want this gorgeous girl to waste any more of her life in kennels.

Lucky would like to introduce herself by way of a short video of her playing fetch:

And if you enjoyed that short video, here is another one, but this time she is having a roll on the grass:

And here she is enjoying a training session with her carer:

Being part collie, Lucky adores tennis balls and she will play for as long you are willing to throw for her. And after a good game of fetch, she loves to roll around in her blankets and then have an afternoon snooze.

As well as being a fun-loving girl, Lucky does have a sensitive side and is frightened of loud noises and passing traffic. She would therefore like a rural home with peaceful places to walk. She also needs a secure garden to play, relax, and do some collie-style thinking and philosophising in.

Lucky prefers to not be bothered by other dogs on walks and she doesn’t like them to get in her face, so nice quiet walks are best for this beautiful princess. She walks like a dream on the lead, and she must stay on the lead as she would run away if she was spooked by a sudden loud noise. Lucky enjoys going out in the car so will be happy to have a journey to somewhere nice and quiet to walk.

Lucky needs a calm, adult-only home where she is your only pet. As she is a shy girl, she would like to get to know you at her own pace, so you will need to visit her a few times at Dogs Trust so that she will then feel confident to go home with you.

Dogs Trust told us: “Lucky is very affectionate when she knows you and she will tell you what she likes and when she wants attention. She enjoys a tummy rub, a game of tug/fetch and generally someone to spoil her. She is fine about being groomed with a soft brush for a little while but she doesn’t like to be restrained. Lucky is full of mischief! A princess really. She likes peanut butter, a tennis ball, rolling in the grass and listening to Disney music. She lives in our office and is spoiled. She loves to chase after water from the hose!”
