13/6/21 – Super popular Beau has gone off to her new home!
————–

Beau is a beautiful 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel lady who came into rescue as she was being bullied and attacked by the young dog in her home. She is now in an Oldies Club foster home in Addlestone, Surrey, waiting for someone to offer her a permanent home. Beau can be rehomed within a 2-hour drive of her foster home.

Beau’s ideal home: She would love a quiet home with older people who will take her out for a couple of nice 30-minute walks per day and then enjoy having Beau cuddle up to them on the sofa.

Settled well in foster: Beau settled in straight away at her foster home. She likes to sleep in her foster carer’s bedroom at night, but on the floor in her own bed.

Enjoys company: She can be left alone for a few hours but would prefer a home where people are around for most of the day. She might be OK to live with a part-time worker.

Would prefer being an only dog: Due to her recent experience of being dominated by a younger dog, we feel that Beau deserves a peaceful home as the only dog, or possibly with a very calm and quiet old dog who will not give her any grief!

Not used to cats: Beau hasn’t lived with cats and so we are looking for a cat-free home for her.

Teenage children only: Beau is a quiet girl who would prefer a quiet home. She could possibly live with kind and sensible teenage children though.

Excellent on walks: Beau is very good both on and off the lead. She is enjoying two walks per day and needs a minimum of 30 minutes per walk.

Very good in the car: Beau travels well.

Beau’s favourite pastimes: Pretty Beau loves belly rubs and just to be near someone and cuddle up to them on the sofa.

Beau’s dislikes: She doesn’t like loud noises.

Health notes: Beau is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has been wormed and had flea treatment. She has a large lump at the top of her leg on her right side. This was examined by her previous owner’s vet about two years ago who said it was probably fatty tissue and to just keep an eye on it.

Foster carer’s summary of Beau: Beau is a well-behaved, lovely dog and whoever adopts her will be very lucky to have her.
