15/4/21 – Brilliant news for Fitness and Foxy – they have gone off to their new home!

Fitness and Foxy are a bonded pair who are looking for a quiet retirement home together. Their previous owner died in Romania and the ‘family’ took them straight to a kill shelter. Helping Hounds Hampshire was asked to help them and arranged a cosy foster home for them on the Hampshire/Surrey borders until they find their forever home. They can be rehomed nationwide as long as it is the right home.
Fitness and Foxy really are a sweet little couple and would settle quickly in a new home and they would also be fine with visitors as they love cuddles and attention. Any visiting children would need to be respectful of them and their space. They both would do well with about 30 minutes walking a day, maybe twice, and a garden to have a sniff around in. They both eat well and are not fussy and Fitness loves his food. They can be left alone for a couple of hours.
Fitness’s passport indicates that he is 20 years old, but the UK vet checked him over and said he is nearer 12 and in good health. He has been chemically castrated. He is a smashing fellow – so affectionate, walks well on harness and lead. He just wants to belong to someone again and would cuddle in all day long if he could. He’s about 10-12 kilos and is a Crossbreed.
Foxy is a neutered, 7 year old Crossbreed and has always lived with Fitness. She’s about 6 kilos and she’s tiny, looking to Fitness for reassurance. She is a sweet little soul who dearly wants to be loved and is coming out of her shell every day. She too wants lots of fuss and affection.
Fitness and Foxy are both adorable and can only be rehomed as a couple – this is absolutely non-negotiable. They would be okay with visiting respectful children, can live with other dogs and can be cat tested if needed.
